Shiny Farming Guide: Hunt Shiny Spirits Faster
Pity system, pollution spirits, and efficient shiny hunting strategies.
Overview
Shiny spirits can only be obtained by defeating Corrupted Spirits. The core mechanic is: continuously catching spirits from the same family triggers corruption, and after breaking corrupted shields 80 times in total, you are guaranteed to get a shiny. It is recommended to prepare 500+ Advanced Balls and prioritize stationary farming with fruits inside Mianxiao Sanctuary.
Hard pity
For spirits from the same family / same type group, after breaking corrupted shields 80 times in total, the 80th time will definitely produce a shiny spirit from that family.
The counter is independent and does not reset unless you catch spirits from another family midway.
Base probability
Each time you break a corrupted shield, there is about a 1.8% chance for a shiny to appear directly, with the overall rate being around 2%.
Trigger requirement
After continuously catching spirits from the same family 20–30 times, a corruption event is guaranteed to trigger once.
2. Efficient farming methods
Choose different strategies depending on your target — permanent shiny or seasonal shiny.
1. Targeted solo farming — most stable, best for permanent shinies
Suitable for: Permanent shinies such as Big-Eared Hood and Demon Wolf.
How to do it: Lock onto a fixed spawn point and only catch the target spirit and its evolution line, such as only catching Big-Eared Hood + Snow Shadow Doll.
Advantage: 100% targets the desired shiny and will never “miss the pool.”
2. 3×3 mixed catching method — fastest, best for seasonal shinies
Suitable for: Season-limited shinies such as Crescent Snow Bear and Pink Star Kid.
How to do it: At the center of the Sanctuary, follow a cycle of 3 target-type spirits + 3 same-type spirits + 3 random spirits.
Advantage: Corruption triggers very quickly, and the efficiency is over 30% higher than solo farming.
3. Sanctuary fruit method — stationary farming
How to do it: Catch 20 target spirits to exchange for their fruit, then place the fruit inside Mianxiao Sanctuary. The area will then spawn the target spirit at high density, allowing infinite farming in place.
Item preparation
Balls: Prepare 500+ Advanced Balls / Type Balls. During the final pity push, it is recommended to prepare King Balls / Colorful Balls, which have 100% capture rate.
Fruits: Unlock and place the target fruit.
Team setup
Shield breaker: Use a high-attack spirit, such as Amiat, to quickly break the corrupted shield.
Controller: Use spirits with sleep or paralysis, such as Meowmeow, to lower HP and prevent the target from escaping.
Appearance
Corrupted spirits appear black all over with purple mist and have a Nightmare Shield.
Battle process
You must first break the first HP bar — the Nightmare Shield — before you can capture the spirit or determine whether it becomes shiny.
Results after breaking the shield
After the shield breaks, one of the following may happen:
- It turns back into a normal spirit — the most common result.
- It gains Corrupted Bloodline — locking 4 random skills.
- It becomes a shiny spirit — the target result.
Check the spirit collection first
Only spirits with a star / shiny icon in the lower-left corner of the collection entry can become shiny. Do not waste time farming spirits without this icon.
Do not switch families or types
If you catch spirits from another type or family midway, the current pity counter will reset.
Off-target shinies are not a loss
If you are farming shiny A but get shiny B instead, A’s pity progress will not reset. Just continue farming A.
Do not kill the shiny
After the shield breaks, if the spirit turns shiny, do not kill it directly with a high-attack spirit. Switch to a low-damage spirit, lower its HP, and capture it.
Beginner recommendation
Beginners should start with Demon Wolf first. Its spawn point in western Shopping Street is close to a teleport point. After catching it, you can use the Review function to recover Rockbay, making it the lowest-cost shiny farming target and very suitable for practice.
